Great news! The project is well on its way and prototypes have been created to test the ideas and themes planned in the project pitch. The ideas and plans have not changed much and work is going smoothly.
The goal of our project is to introduce solar renewable energy to the everyday consumer. We hope to create demand for renewable energy to drive the advancement in the technologies so we have the opportunity to transition from nonrenewable resources. We hope to do this by creating a functional art piece in the form of a twisted wire tree with solar leaves that produces the energy we use in our everyday lives.
The roadmap for our project is that upon completion and evaluation by our peers, we hope to have the opportunity to exhibit the product in the library where it can gain many more eyes and opinions on the piece. We plan to have easy-to-access surveys for viewers via a QR code that leads to a form where their opinions can be recorded.
Possible plans may include an entrepreneurial route but will be decided down the road depending on time constraints.
